Medicare
without the mailbox flood.

Four decisions, one phone call. We help you sort Original Medicare, Supplement, Advantage, and Part D — without flipping you to a different commission-paying carrier every six months.

/01 The four decisions

Medicare in one
plain-language map.

Most of the confusion comes from carriers running ads with overlapping product names. Here are the four actual decisions in order.

/ 01

Original Medicare (A & B)

The federal baseline. Part A covers hospital, Part B covers outpatient and doctor visits. You enroll through Social Security, not us. We make sure you do it on time.
Federal
/ 02

Decision: Supplement or Advantage?

This is the call. Supplement (Medigap) covers what Original Medicare doesn't — broad network, predictable. Advantage replaces Original Medicare with a private plan — lower premium, network-based. The math depends on you.
The big one
/ 03

Part D — Prescriptions

Standalone prescription plan that pairs with Supplement. Some Advantage plans bundle it. We compare your specific medications against each plan's formulary so you don't get a surprise in February.
Drug plan
/ 04

Optional dental, vision, hearing

Original Medicare doesn't cover these. Some Advantage plans include them. We can also add standalone dental/vision/hearing — usually cleaner pricing than the embedded version.
Add-on
/02 Supplement vs. Advantage

The fork
in the road.

There's no universally right answer — it depends on your doctors, your health, your travel, and your tolerance for risk.

A. Supplement (Medigap)

Highest predictability.
Broadest network.

Pairs with Original Medicare. Any doctor that accepts Medicare. Very low out-of-pocket. Higher monthly premium. Best for snowbirds, frequent travelers, and anyone who wants zero claim arguments.

  • Any Medicare provider
  • Low out-of-pocket
  • Higher premium
B. Medicare Advantage

Lower premium.
Network-driven.

Replaces Original Medicare with a private plan. Often $0 premium, includes prescriptions, sometimes dental/vision/hearing. Network and prior-auth driven — more rules to follow but cheaper for healthy beneficiaries.

  • Network-based
  • Often $0 premium
  • Bundled benefits

We compare both for you, with your specific doctors and prescriptions plugged in — not the version on TV.

/03 Timing

The three
enrollment windows.

Miss the first one and you can pay a late penalty for life. We send reminders the moment you're on our calendar.

/ WINDOW 01

Initial (IEP)

Seven months around your 65th birthday — three before, your birth month, three after. This is the no-penalty window.

/ WINDOW 02

Annual (AEP)

Oct 15 – Dec 7 every year. You can switch Advantage plans or move between Advantage and Original Medicare + Supplement.

/ WINDOW 03

Open (OEP)

Jan 1 – Mar 31. If you're already on Advantage, you can switch one more time. Limited move set.

/ ANY TIME

Special (SEP)

Moving, losing employer coverage, or other qualifying life events open a special enrollment window. Call us — we'll confirm eligibility.
